3Fatih Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları A.D., Ankara, Prof. Dr. A 59 year old male patient presented with neovascular glaucoma secondary to central retinal vein occlusion. Despite transscleral cryocyclodestruction and full antiglaucoma medication, intraocular pressure was IOP 52 mmHg. Biomicroscopy revealed corneal edema, iris and angle neovascularization. Two days after bevacizumab injection into the anterior chamber, (IOP) was 30 mmHg and iris and angle neovascularization regressed. Two weeks later, Ahmed glaucoma valve implantation combined with bevacizumab injection was performed. During postoperative follow-up of twenty two months, intraocular pressure was under control with topical antiglaucoma medications without reactivation of neovascularization. In the management of neovascular glaucoma, bevacizumab injections may help to control IOP and to improve the success and the complications of glaucoma drainage surgery.
