1M.D. Asistant, Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital, Ankara/TURKEY2M.D. Associate Professor, Ulucanlar Eye Training and Research Hospital, Ankara/TURKEY After the definition of ultrasonic phacoemulsification for the first time in 1967 by Charles D. Kelman, the process of developing techniques and machines has begun. In the last decades, improvements in technology and technique focus on the least damage to the tissue during operation. Safer and more effective surgeries which aim to minimize the complication rate and speed up the healing process can be performed with the latest developments and innovations in machines and equipment of phacoemulsification. In this article, modern phacoemulsification machines and innovations will be presented. Keywords : Actual phacoemulsification machines, innovations, phacoemulsification
