Glaucoma Due to Retinal Diseases and Treatments
Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, Manisa/TURKEY
High intraocular pressure values can be encountered during retinal diseases and their treatments. In treated patients and surgical applications intraocular pressure measurements can affect visual results. Due to retina and vitreus problems, correct measurement of intraocular pressure may be primary data, which can be supported by visual field analyses, OCT, optic nerve and ganglion cell analysis when possible. Ophthalmologists should make risk analses to take timely precautions to prevent damage which can be difficult or impossible to repair.
