Intraocular Pressure Measurement Methods
Katip Celebi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, Izmir/TURKEY
Measurement of intraocular pressure has become an area of interest in ophthalmology since the association between blindness and “hard ‘eyes” has been recognized. The search for the ideal tonometer that is reproducible, precise and accurate (manometric value) is still continuing. New devices and measurement methods are being developed so as to monitor the variations in intraocular pressure over 24-hours.
