Fuchs Uveitis Syndrome Presented with Bilateral Congenital Ocular Toxoplasmosis

3M.D. Professor, Beyoğlu Training and Research Eye Hospital, İstanbul/TURKEY Twenty seven years old male patient was presented with decreased vision in his right eye. On slit-lamp biomicroscopy examination, diffuse keratic precipitates, intumescent cataract and iris heterocromia were detected in the right eye. An examination of his left fundus revealed two disc diameters wide chorioretinal scar in the macula. Phacoemulsification surgery and intraocular lens implantation was performed to his right eye. On postoperative examination of his right fundus also was detected a similar chorioretinal scar in the macula. The serological test for antibodies (IgG) against Toxoplasma gondii was positive in peripheric blood sample. Bilateral congenital ocular toxoplasmosis can be rarely presented with Fuchs Uveitis syndrome. Keywords : Fuchs’ Uveitis Syndrome, toxoplasmosis
